Ruddles bed and breakfast is just a short walk from Mevagissey harbour
Directions for Ruddles

From the A30
Leave the A30 at Innis Downs roundabout heading left to St Austell on the A391. Pass through Bugle and uphill to Stenalees. At the roundabout at the top of the hill go straight across onto the B3274, ignoring the signs for St Austell. Follow this road to the town centre which is reached as the road curves sharp right downhill. Ignore the entrance to the main street on the left (it is gated) and take the next left. At the mini-roundabout turn right downhill to the triple roundabout by McDonalds and the Texaco garage and head straight across onto the B3273, passing McDonalds on your left. Continue through London Apprentice to Pentewan. Keep on the main road uphill to a crossroads.

From Truro or Plymouth directions
Head towards St Austell on the A390 and stay on the by-pass until you meet a triple roundabout with signs for Mevagissey and the B3273. There is a McDonalds and Texaco garage by the junction. Head South to Mevagissey and continue through London Apprentice to Pentewan. Keep on the main road uphill to a crossroads.

To Portmellon via Mevagissey and it's narrow streets
Keep on the B3273 to Mevagissey. On entering Mevagissey, follow the one way system through the town centre towards Portmellon and Gorran Haven, passing the Ship Inn on your right-hand side. It looks as though it should be one-way but it isn't! The road winds up Polkirt Hill and through Portmellon Park residential area. Coming downhill you will reach the beach/sea with the Rising Sun Pub on your left. Turn right and after about 50 metres turn right into a cul-de-sac. On entering the cul-de-sac go straight ahead onto a hardcore road passing between a house and a boat storage area. Continue onto a tarmac road that leads up to Ruddles, a white house and the first you come to after the bend.

To Portmellon via Gorran Churchtown, avoiding the narrow streets (+5 miles)
At the crossroads take a right turn signpost Gorran and Portmellon (avoiding weight restriction). Continue on this road, passing through Gorran Churchtown and continuing to Portmellon down a narrow lane. On reaching Portmellon you will drop down a steep hill into the cove, take the first left by the sea. This appears to lead into a cul-de-sac, take the unmade road, passing some 'parked' boats. Continue onto a tarmac road, passing a new boathouse, which leads up to Ruddles, the first (white) house you come to after the bend.
